Osteocondural Fractures

Just curious if anyone has had Osteocondural Fractures in their knee. Had tkr on my left knee in June and with bone on bone on my right knee I experienced a lot of pain last week and went in today with diagnosis of said above. No MRI yet but in the works. These fractures are very painful.. Never quite experienced this type of pain before. Anyone with similar diagnosis? Advise?

Thanks,

Brent

Doc gave me pics of my cracks in thigh bone 15 years ago. He even stuck a tool in them to measure and document how deep they where. He was scoping my knee at the time. I get synvisc, 3 shot, every 6 months. Had no issues with it so far.

Thanks for the info. I don't know what synvisc is but I will look in to it. It's nice to hear from someone that has had this.

      Thanks again.

I never knew it had a name. Had 2 scopes in 2002 for torn cartiladge. First one he gave me the pics. Bone looks like a closed fist. Cracks look like the spaces between your fingers. Freaked me out a bit. Synvisc is a lubricant made from a roosters crown. They make 2 versions. 1 is a single injection. Other is a 3 injection series. 1 shot a week for three weeks. I been getting them over 10 years. Stuff is great. I can tell when its wearing off. Gets hard to walk up stairs. Tough part is most people's insurance doesnt like paying for it. They are expensive. About a grand. My injury was work related. They have a choice. Pay for 3 shots or a knee replacement.
