First of all you need to tell people where you live, as there are participants from a number of countries here, although site is a UK one.  Secondly I think the usefulness of the heel reading has been pretty well debunked.  It was a tool developed to help physicians quickly decide if a patient should be prescribed a bone med.  It was developed by, wait for it, the bone med companies.  At the very best all it could do is indicate that you might need to have a proper DXA scan, and even that is not reliable.

By the way before I knew this our local pharmacy offered from time to time a chance to have your heel measurement taken.  This was some years ago and they haven't offered it for a long time.

Clarifying, even the need for a proper DXA scan cannot be relied upon from a heel reading.  Not that the DXA scan can't be relied upon, which has it's own issues but is the best we've got at the moment.
