Other opinions on prescription

Hello,

I have always had to wear glasses from a young age I am currently 23 years old and just wanted other peoples opinions on my prescription. I have been looking into getting laser eye surgery but after researching I am aware that my prescription is possibly too high. Any opinions on the best way of improving my vision or too go for contacts or otherwise would be welcome.

Hi, all I knew was contacts, now I have to wear glasses, because I can't get used to bifocal contacts (messing my brain). Having vision problems now, sometimes I think contacts had something to do with it. So I don't know, I think long run contacts are bad for your eyes. Good luck

Difficult prescription to correct with contact lenses, not saying it can't be done but in my experience a very high failure rate. Best to seek out a specialist contact lens fitter rather than a high st optical chain. Likewise laser, choose carefully as this is not your simple short sighted prescription that mainstream laser clinics deal with.

Finally, badly fitted or neglected contact lenses can damage your eyes, but eyesight declines naturally with the years due to loss of the ability to focus and the gradual hazing of the lens which we eventually call cataract.
