Im 3 weeks 3 days post op now, the intense itching is driving me insane at the mo, i find a cold flannel helps a bit, some good advice on here about cold pads etc. I think its just part of the healing process, reassuring to find out, on here, that it doesn't last too long. I have whopping bulging going on down there too, close to vagina entrance but have been advised this is because of all the stitches and swelling! Have a scroll through some older posts xxx

Hi Rosiepix think barbara had these. Ouch!! I find a wrapped ice pack numbs area and a hot flannel helps too. Odd eh. I have stopped using pads and manage with just panty liners which I change everytime I go to tiolet. I have a very hard area which is very tender and swollen and smarts sometimes at the back wall of my vagina, that could be what you are feeling too. I try to go au naturel when I can around the house and definately not wear panties just loose tracky bottoms think helps as nothing rubbing on scar. Hope this helps. Hope you don't have ulcer . Keep smiling x

I too have switched to using thin liners and change every time I go to toilet. At 2weeks and 2 says now and very itchy this morning, hope that means it's all healing well!

    Thanks ladies

The itching has eased this morning, I hope it lasts! I swooped to panty liners a week ago as wearing pads all the time is really irritating to your skin. I've been showering and decided on a bath a couple of days ago , wonder if that made things worse. It's a minefield lol

I'm going to swap to liners today, see how it goes, I've had quite heavy blood loss, also just at the end of my first period since op so hopefully things will lighten up. Getting myself really paranoid about smells down there, its cost me a fortune the amount of pads I've gone through this past 3 weeks....bring on the liners !!!

Sounds like thrush infection. Ring your Surgeons office and find out if they will see you for that or if you need to see own GP.
