Outbreak looks different to other ones..why?

I have hsv1 and started taking valaclovir daily suppression meds as I had a partner and wanted to decrease likelyhood of passing it on. I found that the tablets made me constantly itchy, so when the relationship ended I decided to stop taking them. This is my first outbreak since then and this time the appearence is totally different. I usually develop small white blisters on my inner labia and in the entrance to my vagina. These sores are usually itchy and do my scab over or change in colour or appearence.

This time however, I do not have the white blisters, instead I have itchy lumps like mozzie bites on my outer labia (where one would get a brazillian wax) leading to the entrance of my vagina and I do have one in my ass cheeks near my anus aswell.

Does anyone know why this has changed or what I should do? Do I treat these lumps differently? I have been taking my lysine and vitamin c, as well as having multiple epsom baths a day (only time I feel relieved)

I did shave my pubic area more

Than often this week but that is the only change that was made.

Should I try ice? What ointments can I use or what medication? I have taken one of the valaclovir tablets to see if this will help calm it down

I remember when you posted previously questioning about the meds and I quit them for a couple months and all of a sudden, I wasn't having like 20 symptoms a day anymore and I stopped breaking out as much as well. I did start back up, cause I did break out w itchy bump or two on my butt cheeks, but it was the anal fissures that wouldn't go sway.. Starting the meda back I thought I'd go back to having lot's of symptoms, but haven't.. I'd suggest taking them until it goes away.

How much Epsom salt do you use? I find this clears my symptoms much faster. Try bactine or hydrocortisone for itching relief.

Who knows why it changes, mine did too when I quit the meds... I used to breakout every month w a bump or two on my vagina, one internal on my third day of my cycle, but for the first time ever, broke out on itchy bumps on my butt... I'm going to make the assumption that the immune cells CDR8aa that specifically attacks herpes has a higher concentration in our genital area where we were breaking out before, so now it is looking for the path of least resistance...

I'm not sure exactly how much epsom I use but I definitely use a lot. I go through the boxes like there's no tomorrow and I only feel relieved for the time I'm in the bath and the short time afterwards

The itch drives me absolutely insane and has lead in my butt cheeks too, I can't find relief and I don't know what to do

Well maybe taking daily suppression is something you should consider. How long have you had it now?

I recommend d trying to remedies I suggested. Now on top of that, I feel like I have found what changed for me as someone who had 20 symptoms or more a day for 7 months, but not since the last couple really, was making sure I took all supplements that require one another to support proper health and most importantly the nervous system.. I found it seems once my levels reached to where they should be, symptom's almost subsided completely...

      Daily doses

      - high doses of Vit C 2000

      - vit D3 2000

      - daily recommend dose of magnesium AMD zinc

      - high doses of all B vitamins

      - daily live culture probiotic

Well I've had symptoms and outbreaks for over a year but the doctors only confirmed it was hsv1

      In janurary I think

I did take the daily suppression meds but they gave me a sense of constant itching where as being off them I am only itchy while having an outbreak

I have started taking them again yesterday to see if they would help this outbreak. By the way to give you an idea of the epsom ratio

      I almost

Went through a kilo of it yesterday alone

Ask for a different medication or even different generic version or the brand name. Different things in generic form can feel different for people.

Yikes! I would tey the hydrocortisone and see if that helps
