Outside of Knee pain

A couple months ago I woke up in the morning with a little knee pain, it was  located mostly on the outside of my right knee. It kept getting worse so I went to an orthopedic doctor (Same one who did my left tkr in 16. ) After an MRI other than some arthritis, some on the inside of knee cap. Nothing really stood out as to what was causing the pain. He also said there may be something in my lower back causing the problem.               .......Sometimes the pain is in front too. I can’t kneel on it , ,that’s painful. Going down stairs is getting more difficult too. Dr also said I may be having some sort of arthritis flair causing pain too.

What is the age of your knee?  MIne is 6 weeks and I have the same pain it sounds like.  I went to the Dr. today and they said it sounded like the tendon was tight.  Have you been stretching all the time?

My left knee was done 6/16. My new pain is in my right knee. I was at my go yesterday and my question to him was if a back problem would cause pain “just” in the knee. He said no, more of your leg would be painful or tingling. Mine has gotten progressively worse over the last couple months. The pain has also gone to the front also. Going down stairs is difficult at times now.  I’m doing stretching and strengthening my leg muscles.  I think that it may be helping. But time will tell. Thanks

My mom had both knees done about 5 years ago.  She said out of a month 90% of the month is good and then there are those days that just stink.
