Ovarian cyst

Hi my Sarah I'm 36, I'm a endo suffer stage 4. I have had a hysterectomy and a right ovary removal 2 years ago. Over the last year I'v had lots of pain and have been found to have a 10cm cyst on my remaining ovary, I since had one surgery to help and this has failed with the cyst growing much larger. I'm seeing my surgeon in 2 weeks to talk about major surgery with colorectal surgeons. But the last week I'v been in so much pain and it's making me feeling sick. I'v tried getting in to see dr sooner with no luck. Anyone know anything that will help with the pain?

When I was suffering with torsion/cyst on my left ovary I found cocodamol was the only pain killer that worked. Keep trying to get a doctor appointment

      Hi thank you bryony.

But unfortunately cocodamol is something I cant take as makes me ill. I'v tried butrans patches but have had a reaction to them also.

Sorry you are feeling so bad. Yes Cocodamol should do the trick, But you should keep on at your doctor. You should not have to suffer like this.

Remember it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil - keep squeaking!

    Hi Sarah

I am waiting for a major surgery as cysts grown and attached to my sigmoid colon. I have changed my diet...no sugary food and drink, no dairy, decrease carbohydrate food very much, I now eat organic bread, fruits and veges soup, gluten free food and fish. Drink water.

And a lady advised me to take b complex and milk thistle. My pain decrease much while I am waiting for my surgery. And of course praying for a miracle. The lady in this forum took the milk thistle and b complex and her cyst decreased in size . You will find her too on forum.Cyst in me is endometrioma. My pain is manageable. If you buy the milk thistle and b complex ask the pharmacy if that is contradict with any medication you are taking.

    What type is your cyst?

    Hope that helps.

Hi I was too told about taking milk thistle the other day so will pop to holland and barrette today.

The surgeon I'm under for the past 10 years for my endo is who I'm seeing for the cyst and he never said what kind it is? Didn't to ow there was different kinds so will be asking him I call it a monster as how big and fast it grows. It's cluster and since my last surgery in February it's grown twice as large. This last week has been bad it's even affecting my bowels. I feel terrible all the time.

      Hi  Sarah

how i know my type of cyst . i asked for a copy of my ultra sound and document. my pain with bowl motion decreased in the last couple of weeks cause i remember i ate less and have slowly  increased eating maybe thats why i am having some pain with bowl motion on the second day of my period. the good thing is i dont have the shooting pain that i end up in the ER. And i have a large no 2.

I used to get constipation at the beginning of my period (when I had them) but I found that magnesium supplements and flax seeds, let's say, 'help things along'.lol

    Sarah,

Hearing all these horror stories of pain and being poopoo'd make me grateful I didn't have the ripping pain you all have had. Take a laxative too keep your bowels moving. My cysts got so big they pinched off my colon and I could not go. And there was endometrial tissue in my colon that caused bleeding 2 days before my period.

The cyst can cause estrogen over load and cause it to grow fast. Ask your doctor to move you up if they get a cancellation. Keep calling daily until you get them to listen.

Don't know if you have it there but my medication of choice is Toredol. Works better than morphine without the side affects.

Best wishes my dear. Prayers sent up for you!
