Hi
I have 10cm ovarian cyst on each ovary and due to have an operation soon also i gained 7kgs within last 15 to 18 months.
Have someone experianced weight gain and does it go away after cysts are removed?

I suppose it depends on how big the cysts are. I too had slow steady weight gain over a long period of time. It snuck up until it got so large it was impossible to ignore. it's been a 9 days after surgery and I have lost 42 lbs, the actual cyst weighed 33 lbs said the surgeon. So I'm like a different person now. The rest of the weight I lost was probably fluids and swelling. I have a huge incision from my pelvis to my ribs.
