Ovarian Cyst and Ovary Removal

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hi! Im 19 and back in November 2015 I had my left ovary removed because of a benign cyst which I was told was the size of a watermelon. Less than 24 hours after the operation, I had internal bleeding and had a blood transfusion. Now 6 weeks on I have shooting pains around the abdo area and I feel like my stomach has extended just like before. I sometimes feel sick too. Is it possible for another cyst to have formed already? I don't know if I am just worrying because of the fact I only have one ovary left and would hate to have that one removed too. I've also noticed I'm having back pain again. I would be grateful for any answers! smile

      Hey Hun

Sorry to hear you are suffering with depression and anxiety re the loss of one of your ovaries.

It's been a comfort for me to read how you feel as I keep having a little cry about loosing one of mine too, I had a dermoid cyst 12cm removed along with my left ovarie.

Think it's the after shock of it all coming out in emotion. You have to be so strong when you go in for the op it's almost as though you suppress your emotion till it's ok to let go!!!!

Your not on your own Hun !!! Takecare Xxx

      Hey Hannah xx

It's been an emotional rollercoaster lets just put it that way! I cry over stupid things, I find it hard to bond with babies because I don't know if I can have them yet... I fell pregnant back when I was 21 but suffered a miscarriage... So in a way I know I can fall pregnant but I don't know if that was my good ovary or not ... If you know what I mean ?

Yeh it's like as if your letting go of something that could be your future! When did you have yours removed ? Private message me if you want? Have you got Instagram ? Xxx

I had mine removed on September 11th 2015

My recovery has been good and the op

      Went well.

I am 31 this month and really want a family.

I put it off for quite a few years because I wanted to have some time to have fun but soon as I found out I had to have this op I regretted not having a family sooner ,so I feel very regretful.

I know I still have my other ovarie but they told me

I could get another cyst on that side too and that if I want kids I have to get on with it,so no pressure !!

My stomach still feels sore after the op so i want that to heal before I start trying.

Our body's are amazing though Hun and I'm sure you will be fine to have a family still, I have read people's story's on here that have had numerous children on just 1/2 and ovarie.

Sending you lots of love and a big hug Xxx

No I'm not on Instagram sorry Xxx
