Ovarian cyst and raised CA125

Hi everyone, I really need some advice. A routine checkup revealed a large ovarian mass 10 cm on left ovary and a smaller one on right ovary. I began a series of tests and my CA 125 was 250. I am freaking out. My gyno surgeon is doing a laparoscopic procedure to remove the cysts but he is saying because of the raised CA125 he wants to remove the big cysts with the ovary all together to avoid leakage in case it is cancerous. I’m scared about removing the ovary, what if later they need to remove the other one. I’m 39, I don’t want to go to early menopause. I can’t stop thinking and googling and there are a lot of scary stuff on the internet. Any positive advice?

when diagnosed with bc there was a major lag b4 anything was done so i became research assistant no.1. if you dont feel you are going to die after reading an hour english isnt your first language. nothing good will come... do you have a friend that can find out for you/ filter the written wheat from the chaff?
stats are on your side - can you take advantage of the worry period by having more fun? nothing worse than lying in bed thinking... i lost my appetite but as i had to eat something began blending all these drinks (used to do 1 wk juice fast every year) and unknowingly went into a wicked detox - milk and coffee mmmmm.THEN i was sure i was dying
still here and not having enough fun. fingers crossed, best wishes

Hi, I'm the same age as you and having a full hysterectomy, and removal of a foot long cyst in Dec. Try not to worry but do speak to your surgeon about your concerns. I was initially reluctant about removal of ovaries due to menopause and my surgeon said if they can save one they will but after much consideration I want them both gone to avoid possible surgery later and to avoid further anaesthesia. I already have children so fertility wasn't an issue for me. They will also be trying to remove my cyst whole as if there is any leakage it means chemo (assuming there find any malignancy). I know it's really stressful but I found it comforting to know others have done it and come thought it well before.
