Ovarian cyst, heavy bleeding scared mindless

hi,

I'm 42 yr old female, been experiencing very long menstrual cycle (6 weeks now) very heavy bleeding and huge clots (size of my palm)

today early morning I started to bleed so much that I felt faint and had to be rushed to the hospital. there on duty docs gave me transamin(tranxemic acid) injection to stop the bleeding. Had my USG and the sonologist found that I have a cyst on left side of the ovary measuring 26*19mm . my appointment with specialist is on tuesday, so just wanted to know if someone have had same issues? is this cyst size too big?

    Hi there

    I had all this going on when i was 19 years of age. I had my right ovary 3lb and the most aggressive form removed then. I have not had any problems since then.

    So it does sound like to me that you need to get rid of it.

    Hi I was the same I bled constantly huge clots this went on for 18 months got tablets to stop the bleeding , however I was 54 years old I also had huge cyst ended up having hysterectomy January past best thing for me bleeding like that totally drains you xx

    yes u do need to get it removed and did they said if it had ruptured that is what it sounds like to me as far as the bleeding

    OK here's a quick update. last evening visited the doc (becoz 3 days ago in an USG discovered a benign cyst 2.6*1.9cm), she kept saying that. it's really small and I don't have to worry abt it,put me on norethisterone (progesterone hormonal pill) to regulate the periods. she told me take it for 21 days and then go off for 7 days. Plus she also gave me glucophage to be taken twice a day.

    Read the leaflet of norethisterone and on the web also it seems to have more negative effects then benefits. I am really v scared of taking this med, has anyone else taken this med? and for how long? any side effects?

    also would like to mention that I have a crippling back ache which is effecting my daily life, pain in legs also. Plus severe facial acne. Really really scared that it's something more as I have kinda indigestion also (which seems to be one of the prime symptom of ovarian cancer) swelling on 1 leg (right side)

    but unfortunately the doc was rushing me too much and didn't listen to the symptoms I was telling her

    Hello, I had a cyst right side of the ovary measuring 5 cm and used Femisan A for 3 months, look up for it.
