Hello all

I need so help. I am 38 and skipping my periods every other month from last 8 months. I started working around same time, so just thought maybe because of stress. I went in last month to my doctor and all harmone test came normal. So then my gyn sent me for ultrasound that I had yesterday and she told me there is solid mass on my right ovary which has to be taken out by laparoscopy. Lining of uterus etc. everything is good. I had bloods taken as well to rule out cancer. I am worried as result will take 2 more days to come and then I see my gynecologist next week. I do get bloated but no pain or anything. My grandmother did had breast cancer but she lived a long and healthy life after breast removal. Please tell me it's just cyst.

Hi, I'm the same get periods every other week. Was diagnosed with a 12.2cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary and sent for MRI scan to check if cancerous and to see what my cyst was made of to decide how to operate. This was 3 weeks ago. I have my Gynaecologists appointment next Tuesday but spoke on the phone with my GP who has told me I have a twisted Dermoid cyst on my left ovary and one on my right plus a number of Fibroids. I think your hard mass may be a Dermoid cyst or Fibroid. Try not to worry too much. I also had blood tests for cancer done when I was admitted 6 weeks ago due to them causing pain which is how mine were found and still haven't had my results back.
