Ovarian cyst pain

I am 49 and long story short I had my period for 2 weeks followed by 10 days of "morning sickness" type nausea. I'm not pregnant and had my tubes tied 21 years ago. I had about 5 days with no vaginal bleeding and then it started again with bad groin pain on the right side. I have had many ovarian cysts and several kidney stones. This pain is right up there and thought it could be either. During the vaginal ultrasound I saw the cyst on the screen and asked the tech the size. She told me that it was 2 cm. The nurse called this morning and told me that my US results came back with nothing on them. Everything looked great. I told her that I saw a cyst on the screen and she got defensive and told me that there is no way it should be causing me any pain. WTH? I'm speechless

Have you had a chance to see your Dr.

    post-ultrasound ? Seems like they're not being 100% up front with you. I'd consider a 2nd opinion.
