Ovarian cyst pain increasing, a and e or wait?

I've had moderate grumbling abdo pain on my left side for 2 months now, which started to radiate into my leg and is causing bloating. I saw my doctor who suspected a cyst and I have a scan on Thursday.

The last 24 hours though it's just getting worse and worse and is giving me really sharp stabbing pains under my ribs on the same side, I rang 111 who gave me an out of hours appointment and the GP said it probably was a cyst and just to wait for my scan and gave me stronger pain killers.

I'm concerned though that something might be happening to the cyst, and don't know whether to ignore the GP's advice and go to a and e if it's no better later. It's getting worse even with the strong painkillers and I'm feeling quite nauseas, but don't want to clog up a and e unnecessarily. Any advice from people with similar symptoms/experiences?

I had the same experience i had my pain for a whole year until i told my gyn doctor that i can't take the pain anymore so they did an ultrasound and found a cyst i had my ovary and tube taken out in april the pain is gone i am so bloated cause now the other side is stating up i can't really eat anything cause i am full and so bloated and the pain hurts to much so all i can say is try to hang in there and get the ultrasound and the vaginal ultrasound

Hi I'm hoping you have gone to A and E because if the pain in severe and strong painkillers aren't working the cyst could have caused the ovary to twist or have ruptured. I wouldn't wait if the pain is still increasing and you feel sick.
