Should I be in severe pain with a 10 cm ovarian cyst?

    No! Not unless it's ruptured or twisted. Don't ignore go straight to the emergency room straight away so they can monitor you and decide what to do. I have a 12cm dermoid cyst that I had severe pain with due to it being twisted. I was in hospital for 3 days incase I needed emergency surgery but it untwisted and calmed down. Had no pain for 18 months but will be having surgery hopefully within the next 6 months due to it growing quite quickly. Hope you get sorted out soon.

    I had 4 dermoids, 3 on one ovary 1 on the other and had no pain! They were completely found by chance when I had an ultrasound on my liver, and pancreas as my pancreatic tumour marker was high (can be related to dermoids on the ovary!). They saw the top of the cyst. 

    I had the odd niggle that I just put down to monthly pains.
