Ovarian dermoid cyst removed almost 4 years ago - ruptured during surgery, can it grow back?

I had a large dermoid cyst removed from my ovary almost 4 years ago- the surgeon reported that it was the size of a grapefruit. It had grown so large that it was twisting a fallopian tube and slowing blood flow to this area. The cyst ruptured during surgery and they removed the debris , but what are the chances that they missed some of the cells? Could it start to grow back if they didn't remove all of it?

Prior to finding out that I had the dermoid cyst, my cramps had gotten increasingly more painful with each period I had.

Female, currently age 20, no prior history of ovarian cysts or other menstrual issues.
