From my experience the medical profession seem to interchange the terms boarder line and pre-cancerous. Borderline is a cyst which is not currently cancerous but does have a low chance of becoming cancerous.

I'm 10 weeks post op having mine removed.

hi Julie, it was referred to as boarder line pre op and pre-cancerous post op but was apparently exactly what they were expecting to find. Yes had out ovaries, tubes, total hysterectomy and also as it was on my left ovary appendix.

As you know, my mum has had her cyst removed (still waiting for biopsy results) but about 5 years ago she had cysts in her breasts both came back with a 3 grading. Apparently they mark them 1-5, 1 being benign and 5 being cancerous. They told her they were borderline cysts meaning if left in the body they could turn malignant over time.
