Hi recovery for keyhole surgery which it will most likely be the case is between 2 days and 2 weeks. However, everyone is different. If they have to do open surgery it is up to 6 weeks. I am currently waiting for my surgery date. Good luck x

I had 10cm dermoid removed via keyhole in sept and I'm still not recovered. 2 weeks minimum, I wasn't 100% after 2.5 weeks but went back to work big mistake and I do a desk job. Ended up off sick again twice and got infections. they say 6 weeks until your gave to full fitness for lifting as normal etc. I would say plan for 2 weeks then only you will know how you feel. Everyone is different some people I have read are back to work and fully recovered in 2 weeks or less . It's an individual thing. Hope this helps x

I planned for 2wks but was aiming to be back in a week cos it's was a new job but I was no where near ready. Only you will know how you feel, I had barely finished my antibiotics by the time the first week was over and was only just able to stand up straight without a lot of pain. What type if cyst do you have? Mine was dermoid and is kept my ovary but had a lot of it removed x

They won't give you a date they will just give you a decision of what they are going to do. If you are fast tracked like me I will be having surgery in 2 weeks due to the cyst or tumour being in my ovary. I will be having my only good ovary and tube removed. Lucky for me I have 2 beautiful boys so people are not so lucky. I also have fluid in my abdomen. Ovarian cancer is in my family so they are being ultra cautious but to be honest it's unlikely thank God.
