Over Active Bladder

Hello all, My problem started about three years ago. I am 18 now. One day i just had to go to the bathroom a lot more then usual, waking up twice a night and going close to 20-25 times a day. I went to many doctors, which said to try a new diet, and to cut out all caffine, spicy, and bladder irratation foods. This did not help. I went to acupuncture, and had surgery to put botox in my bladder and nothing worked. I now have the problem cut down a little bit through bladder retraning but I can still only hold it 2 hours max without discomfort, usually only and hour to hour and a half. I have pretty much ruled out any medical problems and all doctors say my bladder looks fine. I have no diabeties or UTI. My psychican told me to see a therapist because it may be linked to anxiety but i dont understand how that is possible because it is still bad even when im relaxed. Please give me any useful information to fix this problem because I am exteremly desperate and want it to be fixed. Thank you

I had the same problem as yourself, Even no I still go up to three times an hour and I am on a drug to slow things down. Before I could drink a cuppa tea or coffee (about 330ml) but pass around 600ml with each bathroom visit.
In my case it was down to an enlarged prostate, I'm not saying that you have the same, but has your doctor considered the same with something like vesicare?
Just an idea.

have you tried any medication ..
Like oxybutinin ? This worked brill for me..
heres some meds that may help.. If you havent tried them already, if your doctor wont listen see another who understands ..
Oxybutynin (Ditropan) prevents urge incontinence by relaxing the detrusor muscle. This is typically taken two to three times a day (Ditropan XL is extended release, taken once a day).
Ditropan patch (Oxytrol) is also available with fewer side effects, but it releases a smaller dose than the oral form.
The patch is placed on the skin once to twice weekly and it may cause some local skin irritation.
Tolterodine (Detrol, Detrol LA) is indicated for the treatment of an overactive bladder with symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency, or urge incontinence.
This medication affects the salivary glands less than oxybutynin, thus, it is better tolerated with fewer side effects (dry mouth). Detrol is usually prescribed twice a day, whereas the long-acting type (Detrol LA) is taken only once a day.

i was lucky as my doc gave me these as soon as i explained what was going on, i took them for a few days and they were really good at relaxing the tense muscle, anxiety doesnt help either, makes the problem worse, well it did for me if i was stressing etc ..
anyway, i take only when i feel the urge kicking in again, in fact i hardly take them now as its alot better ..
there were very good for me..
I was given the oxybutynin time release..
i hope you find something that works for you..

isnt imipramine an antidepressant..
maybe that didnt help the specific problem..
Have the Doctors suggested a scan or a cystoscopy to check all is okay..
Hope you find something that finally helps ..
