Overwhelmed by health anxieties

Hi I've not really ever suffered from anxiety but I've developed some weird symptoms in the past month or so which has grown into daily anxiety. Just wonder if anyone has had similar. Every day I have a strange feeling just under my rib cage. No pain just a weird presence. The more I've worried about it other symptoms have emerged. I've now got tingling between my shoulder blades and a feeling all the time that my nerves are on edge. It's like a strange tickly feeling throughout my body. Anyone able to share similar feelings? Thanks in advance.

yes the tingling feeling anywhere in the body is very common with anxiety. When we worry about something there’s an automatic response in the brain and a person can have hundreds of different anxiety symptoms. The symptoms of anxiety really are not harmful, the main thing is getting to the reason that somebody has anxiety and getting help for that. I always suggest that everybody has a physical check up at least once a year. But not sure what you’re feeling under your rib cage. It’s most likely nothing serious but if it doesn’t go away just follow up with your doctor for your peace of mind. I think you’re going to be OK. try to stay busy and active so that your mind doesn’t create these symptoms. Take care

hey Dominic, i've been dealing with very similar symptoms as you. had tests and it's not anything beyond anxiety. i suffer badly with anxiety-related physical symptoms so understand exactly where your head is at. try to factor in that we're also in a pandemic, where we've basically been told to watch out for any changes in our body and health for over a year. we're noticing the tiniest sensations and (probably, don't want to assume for you) moving and doing less, leaving us with more time to scrutinise everything we feel. you're not alone x
