Overwhelming sense of fear

I've been struggling with anxiety for the last 6 weeks of so, I've always been a general worrier but it's just spiralled out of control recently, and I don't even know what's caused it. My question is though why is it that as soon as I feel ok for a few hours I randomly get this horrible feeling that comes over me from nowhere that something really bad is going to happen? I can be happy and laughing then all of a sudden this sense of fear comes along, and I don't even know what I'm scared of. I feel like anxiety is bullying me at the moment and as though something isn't allowing me to try and get better, so had enough of this now :-( how can I learn to ignore this feeling...?

It's difficult- I can be sat at work completely fine then all of a sudden like you irrational thoughts start. I get heart palpitations which are unpleasant to say the least. I try mindfulness classes and meditation it just is an hour a week where I don't worry about anything at all! Also exercise- I find dancing and running a relief. Ok it doesn't stop the anxiety coming but it does help give moments of calm.

I get the same way. I think it's due to the fact that I can be happy or laughing and having a good time and subconsciously I think "wow I'm having fun it would be awful if something would come and ruin it" then I panic. I wish I could stop because it's taking the fun out of everything. I have hope that in time this will go away.

Good luck I hope you start feeling better.

It takes time to fully forget about some things, eventually it should go, I get bad anxiety and I'm fine sometimes and then suddenly things just pop into my head and I'm bad again. It gets better just remember that.

I had tje same experience just yesterday, I suffer with anxiety and was on 50mg Setraline. I was all happy and joking with colleagues, when all of a sudden out of no where a sense of dread came over me, and I jabe had this only once before so I knew I was expecting something unpleasant. Half after walking home from work mt started to race and I started hyperventilating, it only lasted a few seconds, then everything calmed down. But the agter affects like unsetteled heart rate 70bpm/90bpm generally take longer to settle then you become tired. Also not to be sounding crude, when this is about to happen or after an episode, I pass wind like nobody's business. Afyer a little digging the digestive system is key player with Anxiety, hope this jelps 🖒

It is a bully! It really is. Cant be ignored at all. You have to accept it and roll with it without  feeding into it and fearing it all. And thats easier said then done.sometimes not possible and for thise moments or days it sucks.
