Ovestin experiences?

I was prescribed to use Ovestin cream due to my vulva being dry and irritated. I wonder how long it takes to work? Any experiences?

I have Just started on this (4 doses so far) and think I waited too long. (no sex so didn't worry about dry vagina) . it's so difficult to insert the applicator and it scraped against the vaginal wall - now I'm sore and can't tell if it's from the cream or from the scrape. why on earth don't they give some lubricant with it? I am trying olive oil as lubricant to avoid further scrapes.
having a bad time with it, I'm 61 and still working part time, so worried about trying to work with desperate pee urge after a half hour or so and now the soreness. I will persevere and let you know. any other input welcome!
nights dreadful too. waking up with sore belly and desperate for a pee but so tired I can't think what I need to do to feel better.
who'd be a woman? we are not alone. xx
