12 weeks out. That's interesting. I'd stopped walking because I was biking and otherwise exercising, but my PT told me to continue walking. I even mowed the lawn, which didn't feel great afterward, but I think it was because it was such a workout.
When I walk, I focus on two things: 1) making sure I'm using the heel-to-toe foot plant correctly, and 2) ensuring that I keep my quads flexed. The latter seems to keep the various tweaks to a minimum.
That being said, I'd suggest a conversation with your PT.

It's worth at least a call to them. They can tell you if there's reason for concern or can make suggestions about where to go from there. Noreason to continue on if you think theres a pronlem.

What mg diazepam? How often you take it? Can build a tolerance to that stuff fast. If it's helping good. If not there's other stuff not so strong may work. Make you less drowsy. Meclizine.

10-15 minutes may be too much at 13 weeks. It's simple...if the knee hurts or swells, it means you pushed it too far. Try a pedometer or FitBit. Find out where your limit is...that is, the amount of time (or steps) you can walk without pain or swelling. Stay there a bit and increase gradually.
I once did 8,000+ steps in one day and paid for it dearly. Never made the same mistake again.
