Pain 2 years post surgery

I had THR on my left hip in Mar 2018. Everything had gone well until this March when I was working out. suddenly got a cramp/pain in my left glute and felt it through to my groin. Saw my Surgeon and x-rays look good. He basically told me it's just some inflammation on a ligament probably and just take some ibuprofen. I'm in constant radiating pain but I know the hip implant is good. Ibuprofen doesn't help. Not sure what to do. Anyone have and advise? I'm so frustrated.

I just had something a bit similar a year out from a right thr. I woke up with s violent pain on the right butt and thigh making it impossible to walk more than a few steps except by bending forward to where my body was horizontal. I couldn't my surgeon as travel to US right now impossible. It was consistent with sciatica, more or less. .I hoped my joint hadn't gone wrong.
It resolved gradually in about 4 weeks. I think it was a nerve pressure issue, maybe related to the way they have manipulate nerves and muscles in a anterior thr . Hope your problem will resolve also

Sounds very like you'll be absolutely fine you just need to rest it as much as you can, be patient and this will soon be good again.
Good luck but I feel very confident your new hip is absolutely fine.
