Pain after Anal Advancement Flap surgery, and injection

Hi, I wonder does anyone have experience of these two procedures which I had done 3 weeks ago - Fissurectomy, anal advancement falp and injection for piles.

I was unable to sit down for 2 weeks and now a week later I have agonising pain from the interal sphincter in spasm that feels very much like the pain from the fissure only 10 times worse

Is this normal ? I have seen my surgeon who says that the pain will change. It has to some gegree as the pain from the surgical wounds has now almost disappeared, but this internal pain is almost unbearable - even with taking tramadol and codeine !

Does anyone have any experience of this and any indication of how long this might take to heal and pain subside ?

Many thanks

Hi, I am new to the forum. I started having problems about ten years ago with anorectal abscesses. I have probably had about 8 or more. Several times they have led to sepsis because The symptoms are rather ambiguous such as a achy lower back, trouble tying my sneakers, difficulty lifting one leg when climbing the stairs and general fatigue. All of these symptoms could be from another source and the abceesses occur in different spots, are high, cannot be felt by examination by Dr. I now have a very painful anal fissure which my Dr tells me is very large, chronic and I have been suffering from it for quite some time. I have already had a sphincterotomy. My surgeon had referred me to a Specialist who operated on me about 7 wks ago for a fistula but discovered it was just the large chronic fissure I have already referred to. He now wants to do an Advancement Flap procedure but feels that I have an active abecess going on. Has anyone had a similar experience? I have a lot of bowel trouble but do not have Crohns or Colitis. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I have been experiencing some constipation for several years but  last june probleme get agrivated and I start having some blood in my stool  and I thought was just hemorrhoid but one day I tryed to use the bathroom I couldont go easy it toook me 2 hours to empty my bowl,I  was in agony then went to my GD who refer me to CRS and conferm that I have a fissure with 3 skin tags , prescribe  for me nifepidine ointment 3 time a day and change my diet( fruit veg fiber...) and drink lot of water, after a month staff get wors then went back to CRS he want me to do colonoscopy to fegure out what a heck is going on , but thank God nothing bad beside a fissure and 3 skin tags , at that time I couldnt keep my mind straight coz I was in so much pain on sep 3 I decided to go  for the other option LIS surgery with removal of the skin tag. but unfortinatly after 11 days po-op I develop a fistula I dont know why it happened it was the most painful pain I have experienced in my life so went to CRS and emidiatly admit me for 2nd surgery fistulotomy , so today 3 day so far I still have some pain but not as bad as before, I know it is going to take longer to heal but I m taking it day by day , and this is my story .
