Pain and itching after fluid draining normal?

Hi.
A week ago I had a procedure done to drain a quite big pleural effusion. Everything was fine afterwards, no unusual pain or anything, but it for the past 2 days it hurts kind of like a bruise and someone poking me with a needle, especially when I'm laying on my back or pressing the area of the puncture site. It also itches quite a bit, but I've heard that's good, that it's a sign it's healing? It doesn't feel like there's any complication or inflammation, but I wanted to ask if anyone else had this after having the fluid drained?
