Pain below Adam's Apple left side

Hello, I have had a dull pain below my Adam's apple in the left side, sometimes it can be more painful. If I look to the side and tilt my head up, I can feel a sharp pain. I went to the Doctors today and he said there was nothing wrong and he suggested resting because it might be a strain. Also, below the adams apple is there meant to be another bump and one bigger on one side? I feel like the bump below my Adam's apple on left side is bigger than the right. The doctor felt my neck but only quickly and I wanted him to feel it when I tilted my head but he was busy and reasured me that everything is okay. Im not too happy with what he said and I am still worried. Any ideas and advice would be really appreaicted! Many thanks, John

    i had the same some years ago... It is really a strain...and its OK.... it will go away inf few days.

    I was feeling around my throat again and the bump below my Adams apple on the left side is sore and feels bigger. Also, above my Adams apple under the chin, i can feel a little pea size bump. What could this be? every time i go to doctors, they say nothing is wrong and tell me to rest.
