Pain below shoulder front

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hi all , got diagnosed by gp in Jan after scans following bad attack .

I Take buscopan when needed etc ...

I have had a stabbing type pain in the area above my right breast and below shoulder this happens every day ! Some days worse than others . The pain started during the attack before Christmas and has never really totally gone , sometimes it's like a mild tooth ache other times it's really painful .

Is this related to gallbladder ? I did mention to my gp and he said it's prob part and parcel ?

Does anyone else get this ?

That's the symptoms I had. I'd had them for 3 weeks with the pain coming and going - never fully going. Then last weekend it just got severely worse. I couldn't sleep, rest even sitting up made me ache n get painful cramps all over my upper abdomen. I took myself to A&E Tuesday morning as I couldn't take the pain anymore. Got admitted as my gallbladder was inflamed and after a ultrasound scan they diagnosed gallstones.

I've just finished my 4th round of IV antibiotics and I'm feeling better. Waiting to see the consultant and get referred for my gallbladder to be removed but hoping to go home today.

I do hope u feel better soon.

Could be your gallbladder...symptoms can be different depending on the person.

Please let us know how you get on after you meet with the consultant!  In the meantime, try to eat small frequent meals and avoid fats, if you can.  Also coffee can make the symptoms worse.  That is, it did for me.

    Take care!
