Pain continuing after ovarian cyst has reduced

A month ago after pain in my lower right abdomen I had an ultrasound scan which revealed a 4cm cyst in my ovary...as the cyst was solid grey on the scan it was uncertain wether this was filled with blood or was solid so I was sent away to be re-scanned in 4 weeks.....I had the 2nd scan last week and the cyst had halved in size and the blood was draining which of course was fab news....I do however still have some pain granted not as bad as it was but nevertheless still there...she explained it can take a while for things to settle down after a cyst has had a bleed....was just wondering if anyone else has had any experience of this?

Thanks in advance

I have had the same thing a few times. The last one was about the same as yours. It had been filled wth blood and when I had a ultrasound done the blood was draining. I still had pain even though it wasn't as bad. I'm sure it will get better with time. Mine did. Good luck
