Sorry about your pain.  My doctor says acupuncture could help you   Also, check out emuaid max cream.  Hope it works

Thanks Sandy, yes I am about to try acupuncture as I have heard this could help, not sure about cream as the pain is deeper seated than a surface pain - it’s unfortunately more like a constant ‘bone’ pain! I will update you in the acupuncture and it’s effectiveness.

      Thx.

Topical creams don’t do much if anything for neuropathy. All you can do       is to reduce the pain and even then it will only be by a fraction.  I am using nurofen heat wraps for arm nerve pain and I am still feeling the pain.  I have two neuropathic arms and I am now preparing to learn to live with the pain.

      Hi Pippa,

It’s a horrible pain to have to live with - one of the worse to treat I’m told, and very little understanding by health professionals.  I will give the heat wraps a go as anything is worth a try also looking to try acupuncture.  Getting desperate here but nice to hear from people and their experiences and suggestions. xx

My hands also get tingling and numb if I am holding anything for too long or sometimes it happens randomly.  I have had my hand lose power for a few minutes because of it and I just managed to slam a glass back down on the table before my wrist flopped.

Have a doctor look into trigeminal neuralgia

      Hi,

If only it were that easy LOL!  I have suffered from this pain for 20 years and been back and forth to various GP's and numerous appointments at the maxillofacial Hospital - its not trigeminal neuralgia!  It's 'atypical' facial pain or idiopathic pain which is a constant pain unlike the TN which only comes intermittently.  As you demonstrate there is a lot of misunderstanding surrounding this type of pain.

Hi- I am in the same boat! But mine just started a year ago. Been to numerous ent’s & Maxio specialists. I had 2 teeth removed- the last tooth caused more weirdness. My mri showed only mild inflammation in sinus and a sinus cyst otherwise clear. I am freaking out because I feel like I am not getting the proper treatment. So that’s my label right now. You have had yours for 20 years so on a positive note it must be reassuring that all the scans haven’t found anything serious. Pain sucks period. Hopefully one day you will find relief.
