Hi I am new to this site. Basicly I am in my early 50 s For years suffered with stomach problems and was told I had a nervous stomach by a Gp. Eventually after having my children my stomach got worse. Always on the toilet in pain and losing weight. I was sent to hospital in my late twenties. In the outpatients they used a scope and took a few biopsies. Two weeks later went back just said I had a form of colitis. Gave tablets can't remember what. Then said would send an appointment to me. Never heard any more. I didn't know what colitis was and thought I just had Ibs. I had bouts of being ok and not being ok. In 2003 I was very ill and losing weight had bad cramps and bleeding on and off. Went to hospital had a scope and removed a precancerous lump. Had regular tests then told had ulcerative colitis. Then 2 years later diagnosed with divericular disease. On Asacol 6 a day. 7 years ago went to A and e was in agony. Idiot doctor on call said I had constpation. I perforated 2 days later. Peritonitis set in. They went to operate but worried about the peritonitis. So had me on drips tubes down throat. had lots of drugs. The perforation caused many probs. I avoided surgery but doc now saying treat for colitis but could be crohns also diverticular disease. I have lots of scarring organs stuck together. Surgery is high risk. I am in constant pain. I have severe cramps every night most days diarhoea or days when I feel I have not emptied enough. Get anemic low vitamin d and B12. Holding off surgery surgeon said could damage other organs due to adhesions. Now having bladder problems. Is it normal to have pain every day. Does any one else notice bladder issues when flare ups are bad. Off work on long term sick. I feel really low. Thank you for any replies x

I have had chrons for a few years now

I have weird symptoms like, constipation, nausea bloating to ridiculous levels looking like I'm 9 months pregnant( at least 1 a week I get asked) the biggest think is constant pain every day, awake through the night and feel exhausted. I can't eat large meals without bloating so bad and being in so much pain that over last 2 weeks im eating just small snacks to avoid the pain. I have never lost weight but I do have weird pressure in my bladder that is making me have bladder issues I also feel like I'm getting cystitis but samples at docs say no. Very odd but something I'm also experiencing.
