Pain for 2 months, worried but has anyone else gone through this?

I've had stomach issues my entire life, usual bouts of stomach ache, diarrhea, little things that I and my physicians passed off as small insignificant things but within the last 2 years it got worse as in my bowel sounds have been extremely loud and embarrassing to the point I would skip class some days so that I wouldn't have to bear with the embarrassment of sounding like I farted in class, but then these last 2 months have been hell.

I'm currently experiencing random burning and stinging pains in different spots in my stomach only on the left side usually in the upper left area but a little lower as well, yellow diarrhea, occasional stomach spasms, a pulling and full feeling in my upper left side near my rib cage and some pain thats in my upper left side of the back in the same area that comes and goes. On top of that my abdomen itches sometimes but only on the left side where I have the burning, stinging, and prickling pains in my stomach. Along with gas and hyperactive loud stomach sounds that have been around for a good 2 yrs or so, my former doctor downplayed it and didn't see it as a cause for concern. Thing is, the pressure and pain is almost constant, it flares up and then it stops throughout the day, I've been to the doctor and am waiting to see a specialist ( my doctors aren't very good, and I've been waiting 2 months to see a specialist). My doctor seems to think it's IBS, but I've been to the ER and the regular doctor and they still haven't done a CT or an XRay only bloodwork, which came back saying I'm anemic and have a vitamin D deficiency.

Apparently taking extra strong probiotics helps even out the pain and the issues in my stomach and makes it manageable but I'm having another flare up and it's so painful. It's been a couple days. I just want to know what this is, and for this pain to stop.

Has anyone else had these symptoms and if so what did you do about it?

    Hi stephie 2394

Are you taking Vit D supplements to raise your Bit D levels?.low levels of Vit D causes gastro and stomach problems..if not taking..start taking asap....

I have actually ever since my BT results came back. It said my pancreases was fine but I take a liquid form of Vitamin D everyday and still have issues. Also started taking garlic supplements as well.

It does sound like IBS; are you being treated for your anemia and Vitamin D deficiency? I have IBS and take Buscopan and painkillers when I have a flare up. However, at the moment, I am in remission.

IBS really causes burning and stinging pain? & Spasms and what not? Some days it feels like my intestines are inflamed. If I don't take probiotics the pain returns. I have an over the counter iron supplement that I take but I've had anemia for a good 2 yrs or so. My former doctors office had the same results. I want to get tested for celiac disease tbh.

IBS can cause a burning stomach and spasms. Ask your doctor to check for gastritis via endoscopy to see if you have stomach lining inflammation and ask whether your iron supplement could be causing your symptoms. You could try coming off gluten to see if you feel better.
