Pain for 4 years

I'm a 32 year old woman who has experienced excruciating pain upon penetration for the past 4 years... As soon as I attempt to have sex, the opening of my vagina feels as though it's being stabbed. I try and grit my teeth and power through it (fortunately I have a very understanding husband) and after the initial penetration I'm ok - there's no pain once he's in and we can have sex normally, it's just the initial penetration is sometimes impossible. The bottom part of my vagina (underneath the vaginal opening) looks a bit red and angry and all the pain is located in that small section at the opening to my vagina. I have no pain internally or any other part of my vagina or vulva - just the entrance.

I've had awful night sweats for the past 6 years where I literally wake up dripping with sweat, so I don't know if that could be related.

I've also had very watery discharge for the whole 4 years I've had the pain - it's just slippery and watery and there seems to be loads of it, there's no weird odour or blood or anything. I also occasionally get random big blobs of jelly type discharge that randomly appear in my underwear.

I'm just wondering whether anybody has any idea what could be causing this? I've had regular cervical checks - the last one being early last year and that was fine. I've also never had unprotected sex with anybody because I'm not on any birth control so always use condoms so a STI is very unlikely. I'm just feeling so down and miserable about this, it's really effecting my sex drive and my husband and I rarely have sex anymore because I'm so worried about it hurting when he penetrates me. I've always had a very high sex drive as well and never had any problems with vulva pain before this all started 4 years ago, so it's making me feel doubly sad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Was there some sort of trauma happened in your life 4 years ago? especially something related to your sexuality? or even the death of someone close?

Did you change the condom type/brand 4 years ago?

Do you use a lubricant and lots of it?

Have you seen your doctor about this?

The random blobs of jelly are probably an indication of when you are ovulating, which is quite common and normal for lots of women. Is the area painful if you just touch it yourself, with no husband around? Is it painful when you are sitting?
