Pain from a 6 year ankle injury.... should I ask them to remove my hardware ?

I shattered my ankle in 2012 and have had several surgeries.  I’m still dealing with pain, swelling , numbness , burning , tingly sensations.    I can walk and then I can’t .  It’s been up and down.  I’ll statt my day which takes  a couple hours to walk then after about hour or two I can’t apply any pressure on it.   I have a plate and pins left.  What should I do ?

I would recommend not only seeing an orthopaedist, but also a neurologist. You could be dealing with neurological pain as well as pain from the joint issues. Good luck.

You would probably do well with the EXOSYM Devices. I've had many failed surgeries plus a birth defect & I'm now walking with minimal or no pain. I haven't walked in over four years until I got these devices. I know they''re expensive but you can't put a price on your mobility. Google it & watch some of the videos. It's amazing what it has done for me.
