Pain from rotary cuff

Hi can any one help me please. I'm 11 weeks post op and everytime I lift my arm my arm really hurts esp round the bicep area. Now I'm in more pain than before I had it done. Makes me wonder if the sutures have come undone. Any one else experiencing this pain?

I am at 12 weeks, and no I do not have that.  I get twinges when I move it certain ways and achiness, but not what your describing.  I would go in to see your surgeon.

Okay...posture check and icing.  Posture check... (1) are you dropping the repaired shoulder?  If not, get it dropped.  (2) Shoulder blades you must pinch the blades together (mid back).  Realigning your posture should help alleviate the biceps pain.  ICE will help with pain management and swelling!!  HANG IN THERE and get it after it.  YOU CAN DO IT!!!  11 weeks is great progress.  before lifting the arms drop the shoulder and pinch the blades, thumb up when you raise the arm.  SLOW AND STEADY.  YOU CAN DO IT!!!

PS if you ruptured the repair...you'd know it.  You'd be bawling and wailing like a coyote.  YOU ARE OKAY.  SLOW AND STEADY.  POSTURE and ICE.

PSS and do not lift anything other than your arm at this point.  NOthing overhead or above shoulder no weights unless the surgeon says it is okay and gives you LB limit.  Ice it now and let it rest drop the shoulder and pinch the blades.  YOU WILL BE OKAY

Sorry to hear this but it is a possibility after surgery. What did you have done? did they do RC and biceps?  I had both done and was definitely in more pain after surgery than before. But now I am 8 months out and it did improve with time. The biceps was the troublesome child. Still, if I overdo it, that's where I will feel pain. Definitely still not supposed to lifting more than a coffee cup and nothing overhead. If it's nerve pain, it can certainly feel like you've ruptures something. Just relax and know that it is likely a part of the healing process and use lots of cold packs and position it for support. I have to have something under my elbow for a long time to keep the bicep tendon from burning. Best of luck with it!
