Pain getting worse

Have costo and osteoarthritis in neck now going into chest wall. Always in pain to some degree and pressing on chest wall or rib area is agony. Hard to take a deep breath without coughing. Can't take ibuprofen so use paracetamol and a wheat bag with limited success. Have had all the heart tests going before GP came to this conclusion. What I would like to know is whether anyones costo suddenly without warning feels like someone is squeezing their chest, I go all hot and cold and it goes after about 10 minutes and then I just get normal level of pain. Had an ECG done on Friday and saw GP today who said costo and gerd. So if that is the case what happens to bring on such intense pain usually when I am sitting down, it happens every couple of days.

I have almost similar to you pain is worse sitting down because of the nerve pain in my neck and also the tummy can be pushed up into your rib area I have found that reflexology and mindfulness techniques combined with medication helps switch off the pain pathways to the brain
