Pain in big toe after jumping

I shouldn't have done this but if you go through my post history you'll find that i broke my leg about 3 months ago and im still in a brace but i have only 1 week left in it so i was like "hey, let me see how high i can jump". MY ankle still does not have its full range of motion and my foot is still pretty stiff after the cast. I suspect that it's the cause of the problem here. Anyways, after I landed the jump, my toe at the joint hurts a lot and i cant walk on it. Does anyone know if i should be concerned? Or will the pain go away with time? thank you...

It sounds like you probably strained the joint? A similar thing happened to me when I'd only just got out of my foot cast/boot - I walked (or limped!) for a couple of miles in shoes that didn't fit me very well, and afterwards the joints around my big toe were so sore and swollen I half-worried I'd broken a bone again! It got better again overnight, though. I'd recommend resting your foot for a day or two and seeing your doctor if there's no improvement after that.
