Pain in both sideways (Upper abdominal right side and left side)

My mother has liver cirrhosis and she was diagnosed with gallstones last year. however, doctor cannot operate due to possibility of liver failure after the operation. She has constant pain and feels like entrapped gas that makes upper abdominal right side hard to press. Doctor said its not gallstones pain because gallstones last only few hours. Ultrasound shows normally distended gallbladder with few stones.

We are giving her nuberol tab for pain sometimes and sometime gavison, however, it has been a one month her upper abdominal right side is hard to press so as the left side. Due to this, she feels very uncomfortable. Please help what can help in this.
