    Hi

I am 7 weeks on from THR and have had and still have a sensitivity on the outside of my calf.It was bruised in the early weeks but the bruising has gone and now it is mildly sensitive to being touched. It is much better than it was and I put it down to the whole leg - muscles nerves joints adjusting to the slight change in gait. My ankle was also sore and bruised but now OK.

I have had weird and odd sensations in the hip, and down the leg - like pin pricks which I understand is normal during recovery from this op.

I know what you mean about being worried it could be dvt - trouble is, the symptoms of dvt seem to be similar to that of recovery from hip ops!

Hope this helps - go well!

I get this, and after 7 months it just appeared. Not sure if its a nerve being pressed on? Not DVT in my case.
