Pain in elbow 2 yrs after post op, what should I do?

In april of 2016 I dislocated and fractured my elbow, along with shattering my radial head in my right arm. This was all due to landing incorrectly on an olympic style trampoline. Anyways, I ended up getting an 6 hour surgery, in order to put a prosthesis in place of most of my elbow.

I have experienced pain for the past year, however recently the pain has gotten much worse. The pain feels as though there is a rubber band attaching my bones together, making my elbow feel like there is a lot of resistance. There is also a nerve type pain that comes and goes very frequently. I have considered going to the hospital to get it checked out however last time I went for a post op check up and I said I had pain they didn't do anything so I don't want the same thing to happen again. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on? or what I should do? Thanks

I suffered the exact same injury to the same arm 4 years ago, only when my right radial head shattered it also severed ligaments. I have lost extension and flexion to my right arm along with increased pain. My surgeon told me I would need a total elbow replacement. I am reluctant to have it done due to issues people seem to have post total replacement plus the fact this surgery is not performed as much as say knee replacements finding it hard to find a good surgeon. Just last night I emailed the Cleveland Clinic asking for referal to a surgeon that may specialize in Elbow Replacement. If you are not getting the answers you are looking for from your Dr you may want to search for a specialist. I know my surgeon did not want me to have any injections done due to high risk of infection, leaving my only alternative..the Elbow Replacement surgery. I hope you can find answers but it seems your symptoms are pretty standard with our type of injury😞.
