in my experience my feet were terribly painful due to a number of things.. After appt. With a podiatrist( foot specialist), X-rays showed spurs on the small bones.. Fallen arches and heal spurs..the pain most associated with plantarfaciatis this is where the tendon attached to the heal bone is severely strained.. See links on web for explaination and causes.
New arches & better fitting shoes and therapy. Helps..it take a while..what helped the most in my case was icing my feet to cut down the swelling and rest.. Never walk barefoot or without support arches customized to UR feet. In time this will heal .
take care..

The painful feet is one of my major pain areas and I have had it for 26 years.
I had two operations on one foot because the condition was identified as bilateral plantar fasciitis with heel spurs. I had lot of injections into both heels, not pleasant and not helpful), I had a partial release of the plantar fascia(long tendon which runs under the foot, and also a decompression of the tarsal tunnel to release a trapped nerve in the ankle, but no improvement.
I have had lots of acupuncture and a pulse machine to break up the heel spurs
even radio therapy, but nothing has worked. Standing up is sheer misery.
I ad 2 hips replaced which gave me something to stand on but my spine will not support me when standing and I have to use crutches. With or without crutches the feet feel terrible but there are certain times when the situation improves and I am sure that this is in some way connected to the atmosphere, i.e. to certain chemicals in the environment. I notice an improvement in supermarkets when \\i use the disability buggy and think that this may be because of the air conditioning.

it seems we both have a lot of issues in common.. I tow have both hips THR.. Got numbing a& tinglinle in left leg and foot due to the left implant has failed was recalled a few months after surgery.. Now revision I next.
The feet issues has been a issue many years.. Shots don't help anti inflam OTC meds help.. I also suffer from Morton's nerve disorder. What has help me the most on my feet were finding the right arches and shoes took many years .. I have a lot of success with home ultra sound treatments. After a few weeks it cuts down on the swelling and nerve pain.
i am very sorry UR suffer from theses painful issues.. U have a knowledge

Healing prayers sent UR way..

Yes, I get this pain on the soles of my feet, occasionally - very weird, and very painful. Talking about "a pain in the butt (lol)." - I also get pains there too, and in my breasts!! But when you think about it, why should we not get pain in these parts of our bodies? This illness is about just that; our brains inability to process/prevent pain. I sometimes have thought how lucky I am that at least for me so far, however 'painful' it has seemed, I have survived it. We are just not used to getting pain in such weird places for no obvious reasons; we will get used to it surely? It is no longer surprising me anyway.
I allowed myself to 'wallow' in grief/depression over my illness, consquently piling on LOADS of weight through comfort eating and lack of exercise. I decided 3 weeks ago ENOUGH ALREADY, and while not losing loads of weight yet, have been feeling MUCH better mentally. Physically I cannot wave a magic wand however, and am still a prisoner of my physical problems to a great extent. I have just made the first move to join a walking club and hope to be getting some exercise soon. Perhaps it will encourage me to seek other forms of physical exercise once my depression begins to 'shift'. I believe my 'altered' attitude has helped my illness somewhat. I certainly feel better; I have other things to think about as it were.
Have a great day!
