    Hi Dee!

I also had the groin pain off and on for maybe the first 2 months but it's now gone and I'm 6 months out.

My surgeon told me to not do anything that causes groin pain so don't overdue it.

    Give yourself time to heal.

    Good luck on your recovery!

For me it was normal. Unless the pain is intolerable then a call to gp.

I'm 10 weeks post op, started experiencing groin pain when I returned to work 3 weeks ago. Definitely due to overdoing things (8 hour shifts on my feet!) I've listened to my body, tried to take things a little easier and also used anti inflammatories and noticed an improvement. Still getting a little niggle in the ground but it's becoming less.

I suggest you take things a little easier, 7 weeks is still very early post op.

    Good luck.

    Hi Dee

As others have said I think pain in the groin is a clear signal that you are doing too much and you need to slow down at whichever point you are at on your healing journey.

I am 8 weeks post op now and can do almost anything now. However at the weekend  I twice went for a longer walk than usual and after a while the pain in my groin on the operated side started. On the second occasion I knew it was time to stop and rest.

The pain has gone today but I won't be pushing myself so hard for a while. It keeps coming back to the need for us to listen and respond to our own bodies.

I do hope you feel better soon.

    Best wishes

    Carole

Hi Dee, Good morning to you !! I would take it easy. We are all different with healing. Even now I struggle with things & my op was back in march. But we are all so different with healing.A kneeler from a garden shop would be a good idea. As they have handles on. Hope this helps. Regards Amanda
