I woke yesterday with serious pain in my right side hip more in groin area and knees and shoulder had trouble walking. So I had a lay down day the body would not let me do anything. I am on 10mg of pred was going to reduce I will hold a couple of weeks before and see how I go. I am so over being like this I am 55 this all started 2 and a half years ago I hate winging but it is getting to me if I didn't have my horses which I would love to ride and my dogs and garden. Oops and a really wonderful husband who just been fabulous with my moods. Has anyone had all of the pain spots in one day normally I get one at a time. Hope all is well out there>

Hands and feet involvement could indicate RS3PE, a subset of PMR. You should google it. Treatment is the same as PMR.

    Good luck

That all sounds like some bursitis making itself felt. Though to be honest - I think most people would feel PMR in more than one place except maybe at the very start of a flare. Are they really confident it is PMR? Dan mentions RS3PE but single point pain that then goes away also could be suggestive of a form of inflammatory arthritis called palindromic rheumatism.

Do hope so - do tell us when you have the results.

I have awakened with it in my left leg, shoulders and hands. My left leg always seems worse than my right. That is the side I had shingles break out just about the time I was diagnosed with PMR.
