four months on from my right side total hip replacement I am starting to get pain in my buttock , am wondering if its connected., am i maybe compensating for the left side hip which is due for replacement, my stiff back or the fact that its quite cold weather wise

it's funny I'm 6 months out with my thr on my right side and I'm having the same issue now.

Hi
I was informed on my check up visit with my consultant that sometimes you can get sciatica which results in pain down the buttocks. Not sure if that is what your experiencing (which is not a nice pain) and was informed to see my G. P if this was the case. Have you seen your G. P to check if this is the case.

yes its normal after my surgery i would have butt pain but take some pain meds and eventually it will go away

This forum is such a great place to get reassurance.I am just past 12 weeks THR and pretty much back to normal but recently am having groin pain /discomfort which spreads right to the very top of my leg at the back .By what I am reading it seems that it all just takes time and is not particularly unusual.. maybe if I slow up a bit it might help 🤣😮
