Did you receive any information on care for DD? Usually you get put on a round of antibiotics and do a liquid diet for a few days then slowly incorporate soft foods and progress slowly back to your regular diet. It has been a minute since I had a flare, thanks to surgery, but all I remember is that I had what I though was a terrible case of gas but couldn't pass anything. The pain was awful. The antibiotics were a blessing to get rid of the pain and inflammation. I'm sorry, wish I could be of more help.

I do. For me its a cramping feeling just above the pelvic bone left side to right all the way across. Thank goodness I have had my appendix out or I would be a regular in ER. I have the cramping during a flare and not during one. It comes and goes. Doctor told me not to worry about it. If you are worried ask your doctor about it. Good thing is you don't have a bladder infection. Try heat on the areas that hurt. I hope you feel better soon.

yes i was glad to hear it was not another water infection as i am a bit prone to them the pain is as you say just above pubic bone rather confusing when you get it to know wether its your bowl or bladder thats playing up but the pain at the sides of tummy made it bowel this time now possible when i get pain will get water sample to doctors straight away so i will know how to treat myself and perhaps not take antibiotics so often as i now think some of the " water infections " i have had have in fact been my bowel playing up

When I went to the ER I was treated as a drug seeker. They didn't even try to find out what was causing the pain, they just wanted to know what I wanted (pills). Only when my daughter got in their face did they do a CT Scan on me. Only when they saw the results of the scan did they offer me anything. that would help. The doctor sent an intern in to tell me the results. He was too embarrassed after treating me like a drug seeker. I do remember the pain in the bottom of my gut then because that was the only pain I was having. It got better after taking the first round of antibiotics but there was always a nagging pain that would come and go. I still have a cramping feeling but it's just my body telling me it's time to go. Especially if I don't go on the first signal.
