This is exactly what is happening to me.
I had THR on right leg 8th April and I have had a burning type sensation in my left thigh a couple of days following surgery. In some ways it is more painful than the leg I have had the hip replacement.

The word " pain" covers a multitude of sins.... What kind of pain, and when?

The pain is round and about the groin and after sitting for 15 minutes or so when I get up to walk the opposite leg has a sharp pain that's makes you feel like it's going to buckle under with you but after you walk on it for a few the pain goes away but it happens everytime

I too have a similar problem I had left hip replacement on 2nd February and was doing great, but about a month ago I started to get pain in my right hip and it too was sometimes more painful than the left . I started to panic but my physio told me that the other side was still compensating for the left and that I was to go back to leaning and using a stick whilst walking outside. It is starting to ease off and managed to walk two miles in one go today although was a bit sore afterwards but more on good side. Check with your physio but apparently it is common for other areas to compensate as your gait is changing.

what I meant was when using the stick outside I am too push down into the stick to give more support rather than not really using it like I was doing
