Hi Sara, I had extensive foot surgery in September. I have had complete non union and now only have partial union. I can promise you would be absolutely aware of non union. And there's no way they would have let you go to partial weight bearing and so forth. I have to say with partial union I have a lot of pain still. My bones and tendon haven't united to big bolt they have put through. They leave it and leave it... I have had so many x rays I am worried, I am wondering if your discomfort and pain is due to metal work?? On my previous foot surgery I had to have my screws removed. Be totally honest with your surgeon about how you are feeling because you shouldn't be feeling like this 5.5 months later in my opinion .... yes some discomfort and stiffness but not pain. Let me know how you get on???claire x
