Pain in side of neck

I have a pinched nerve and it’s been hurting my neck for the past couple of years. I’ve been going to Physical Therapy 2x week, which has helped the pain to slowly go away behind my neck. I am now getting pain on the left side of my neck. If I could describe it, it feels like my neck is tight and someone has been pressing on my veins for the past 10 hrs. I went to the Dr. (forgot to describe it to him because it wasnt as bad when i saw him). He gave me Melixocam, but I dont want to take it because of the potential side effects. Should I go back and see him? I feel like all the therapy has maybe irritated my neck.

Hi, i don t know what would be the best advice because i think i am in similar situation. I have small arthritis in my neck, spondylosis but as they said on the mri there is radicular contact what i think means pinched nerve. I am in constant pain since more then one year. No pill is touching the pain, PT didn t helped, i don t know what to do anymore. I would describe my pain like constant burning on one side of neck and sometimes shoulder. Sorry for you re pain, i feel it. How old are you? MRI done?
