Pain in the coccyx burning around top of legs and vaginal pain on the right side- What is it?

Hi ,Ive recently been diagnosed with Oral and Genital Lichen Planus as if that isnt bad enough I have these additional pains as above. Life is very dull and Im feeling quite sorry for myself.
Ihave been keeping a pain diary and it seems that either my mouth is extremely sore and my genital LP isnt too bad or vis versa . What is ever present is my back ache and burning sensations. Ive been suffering for 4 mths and I cant imagine being pain free ever again.
I have tried to get control of my mental state, by being positive but it is a challenge.
Genital LP I am using dermovate and it has eased the symptoms, waiting for biopsy for mouth, no treatment for mouth.
With regards to back pain was considering acupuncture. Has anybody had success with this? Or is physio a better option? I believe back pain might be linked to vulval pain and burning.
My partner is not very supportive and just ignores the problem. I find it had to talk when my mouth is sore so communication is very stilted . Just fed up really... Any help/ advice greatly appreciated.

Cheryl,
First, I am very sorry to hear what you are suffering. I understand and do not blame you for feeling sorry for yourself. I would. Don't feel bad for doing so. We are supportive here on this forum.
What have you tried for the mouth pain? Regular mouthwash? Saltwater? Baking soda in water? There is a lidocaine mouthwash but it is prescription only. I would consult your pharmacist and anyone else. You can call other pharmacies and most of the time, they will answer questions about over the counter drugs/products. What about biofeedback? Is there something you're doing that precedes the pain? Is the vulvar pain (what I have) in anyway psychological? Maybe you could think about issues in your life and maybe something would come to mind that is bothering you. Sometimes pain is caused by emotional upset. Just a thought.
Hope you feel better.
