Pain in the scrotum, epididymal cysts and hydrocele, no solution

Posted , 3 users are following.

Almost 4 months since I started feeling a dull ache in the right hemiscrotum. No signs of infection or testicular cancer in my urine, sperm or blood. Ultrasound and MRI showed three epididymal cysts, an enlarged epididym, a medium size hydrocele and a chronically inflamed prostate.

Was suggested surgery, but without the guaranty that this is exactly the issue provoking pain and that will go away after surgery. Visited several other doctors, some told me I should chill and that they would not get a surgery of they were me. Been prescribed 10 days antibiotics, just to rule out any bacteria existing there but not showing in the tests. Still taking the drugs, but no change. I have gastritis so I cannot exaggerate with anti-inflammatory drugs.

Still, the dull ache is there, impacting my life. Any thoughts?

Sorry for your problem. If doctors not suggesting surgery means that good only. The discomfort surely impact the day to day activities but you have to come across that. Please continue healthy food and life style. Prefer to spend time with family or friends to keep your mood happy. The discomfort will make you depressed and stressful. it will take a while to manage. I know it's hard to come over this situation. there are many like you facing the same issue including me. Be strong bro., You will be OK sooner or late. Don't give up stay positive.

Thanks mate. I'm slowly growing obsessed with the issue, mostly because I actually used to live a healthy lifestyle, with lots of sport, payed close attention to my diet, etc. Last time I had sex without a condom was 2009 😐

Just finished a good dose of 10 days of Cefuroxime, not sensing anything different. Visiting the doctor today, I'm inclined to ask for another antibiotic (just NOT fluoroquinolones, they have terrible side effects).

What good experience do you guys have with antibiotics for chronic epididymitis/prostatitis?

      Many thanks!

It does seem that inflammation of the prostate is caused by infection. Perhaps you may need to ask the doctor for options and try a better antibiotic medication.
